Located in arty Camberwell, South London, this bar/cafe is quite inviting and regularly hosts events. It is a very funky loft style space full of natural light. Well-chosen wooden furniture, vintage leather sofas, with benches covered in felt blankets and pillows complete the warm atmosphere. New artwork is exhibited regularly on Peckham Pelican’s walls, allowing the vibe to shift from month-to-month.

My eye was attracted to the well-composed DIY display of cups hanging from hooks. Customers ordering a tea or coffee are invited to choose their very unique cup. I really like this idea which makes you feel at home whilst adding a nice visual element to the space.

The geometric pelican silhouette works really well as a logo. It is used consistently on the big windows, the menu, and the monochrome website. Chalkboards are used to display signage and respond nicely to the identity of the venue.
