Walking through a laneway in Melbourne always takes you into a different world. Chuckle Park is one of the many alternative spots which makes Melbourne so special. The cafe is attached to well-known nightclub, New Guernica, and Chuckle Deli, all styled by the owners. The caravan hosting a counter and small kitchen forms the centerpiece. The artificial grass, wooden wall panels, a mix and match of synthetic flowers, fairy lights in jars and a Virgin Mary work really well together, giving personality to a small space. Can you spot the flamingo?
I like the vintage menu holder as well as the illustration of the bear used as a Chuckle Park mascot. I would have loved to see an identity being developed with as much style and energy as the interior design.
